Cook Position Expectation

Camp Cook prepares three well-balanced meals a day in a safe, responsible, professional, and friendly manner. The Camp Cook has the responsibility for the overall operations, management, and maintenance of the Camp Kitchen, preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for a crew of 10 + / -. Camp Cook is responsible for maintaining a Seven-Day food supply in addition to food stocks required of daily operations including menu preparation and product ordering.

The basic function of the Camp Cook is to provide, and supervise as necessary, the day-to-day operations of the Camp Kitchen while effectively maintaining Kitchen equipment and supplies. Camp Cook works independently, under the direction of the Camp Manager, serving meals punctually at established mealtimes. Camp Cook continually solves problems as they arise and function as a troubleshooter, resolving issues before they can have a negative effect on operational efficiency. All employees are encouraged to suggest new products and / or services for the betterment of operations. Camp Cook executes assigned duties and maintains a positive attitude and outlook toward the Dogs, Crew, Guests, and other Staff always.

Chain of Command

The Camp Cook reports directly to their Camp Manager. The Camp Manager reports to the Base Manager, who reports directly to the Ownership Team. Should a situation arise that Camp Cook feels uncomfortable in approaching their Camp Manager, the Employee should address their concerns to the Base Manager. All other Camp Cook questions, comments and concerns must adhere to the chain of command.
