The Demo Handler position has the duties of a dog Handler and tour guide. Handlers will work throughout the Skagway Demo to meet the needs of the day-to-day operations. Handlers may be assigned different duties on any given day at the Demo Manager’s discretion.
Demo Handlers work closely with Demo Mushers to develop required skills and assist Demo Mushers in all aspects of the Demo, dog pen and tour related activities. Demo Handlers must maintain a positive attitude and outlook toward the Dogs, Mushers, Guests and other Staff at all times.
Demo Handlers continually solve problems as they arise and function as a troubleshooter, resolving issues before they can have a negative effect on operational efficiency. Demo Handlers ensure proper maintenance of all operation facilities and equipment through daily inspections of Demo and dog pens. Demo Handlers are encouraged to suggest new products and / or services for the betterment of operations.

Chain of Command
Demo Handlers report directly to the Demo Manager. The Demo Manager reports to the General Manager, who reports directly to the Ownership Team. Should a situation arise that a Demo Handler feels uncomfortable in approaching the Demo Manager, the Demo Handler should address their concerns to the General Manager or Office Manager. All other Handler questions, comments and concerns must adhere to the chain of command.
