This list serves as a suggestion for all employees, with required items listed in bold, and is not necessarily complete; you may wish to not bring all the suggested items listed. With that said, you will want to bring sufficient gear for at least one full week.
- Sleeping Bag rated to a minimum of 20 degrees (down is not favorable due to the moist conditions)
- Fleece Bag liner is really nice to have. (Lots of damp days)
- Pillow
- INSULATING mattress for your bunk (elevated plywood bunks provided), RV Mattress/Cushion Foam is a favorite.
- Flashlight/Headlamp
- Sunglasses
- Fleece Pants or Sweatpants (extra “lounging” set for the evening.)
- Fleece Vest/Jacket
- Carhart style work pants
- Vapor Wick Tops and Bottoms
- T-Shirts, Sweatshirts
- Rubber (Heavy Duty) Rain Gear – Helly-Hansen style jacket and pants are tough and work well
- Hat for cold days: Hat for sunshine (Uniform headgear required for tours)
- Keeping your feet warm and dry is especially important and one of the most difficult things to do. You should be prepared with rubber or neoprene boots and something to wear around camp in the evening. Plenty of wool socks, cotton socks.
- Work/Hiking boots
- Water Bottles (x2)
- Chore Gloves (6 pr.)
- Coveralls for chores (You won’t want to wear your tour clothes for chores)
- Town Clothes
- Personal toiletries for preparing to greet and work with the public
- Towels, Washcloths, Mirror
